Asset Control is consolidating its regional Asian offices into a single hub in Singapore and has hired Franck Peltier, a former SunGard Asia chief operating officer (COO), as managing director for Asia-Pacific (APAC).

Asset Control has decided to create a "full-service hub" in Singapore to provide consistency across its operations in APAC. It has chosen Singapore because of its status as gateway to South-east Asia, and because of its business-friendly regulation, diverse pool of talent and connectivity.

Peltier, who left SunGard Asia in March, has been hired to lead Asset Control's investment in regional expertise, products and managed services. He reports to Asset Control CEO Richard Petti.

Peltier was CEO of GL Trade's Asia business when it was acquired by SunGard in 2008. He went on to work as a COO of SunGard Asia's global trading and asset management businesses.
