Agency broker and trading technology provider ITG last week acquired independent research provider Majestic Research for $56 million, to enhance the broker's offering to clients among portfolio managers, analysts and traders. ITG - which was advised on the transaction by FT Partners - will rebrand the business as ITG Investment Research.
