The Toronto Stock Exchange has appointed John Cieslak senior vice president and CIO effective Aug. 8. Cieslak was Systems Committee chairperson for the exchange from 1997 to 1998. Cieslak’s previous role was vice president of IT Services and CIO for National Bank Financial.
Caplin, formerly Citynet, has opened an office in New York headed up by Tamas Calderwood. Calderwood joined Caplin this year as US sales manager from Bloomberg. At Bloomberg he was product development manager.
