• Costa Christodoulou has recently joined ACT Financial Systems (Europe) as director of operations. He will be responsible for all operational matters in the UK and continental Europe effective immediately. He will report directly to Frank Walter, ACT’s global chief operating officer. Before joining ACT, Christodoulou was director of Alltel Information Services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. While at Alltel, he was also director of wholesale banking operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and director of strategic market planning.
• Sharon Premoli has joined Thebeast.com as executive vice president of strategic business development. In her new role, Premoli’s responsibilities include identifying the best strategies for company expansion as well as strategic partnerships and alliances on a global basis. Prior to joining Thebeast.com, Premoli worked as a consultant for Instinet Corp. in London and New York, where she was responsible for developing the strategy and implementation for the wholesale retail business. In addition, she was responsible for the implementation of the first after-hours trading initiatives for Etrade, an Instinet client.
• Eagle Investment Systems announced that John Lehner has joined as senior vice president of sales and marketing. He was formerly senior vice president of sales for Govpx. During his five-year tenure there, Lehner helped develop its sales force as well as its penetration into the global market. Prior to this he was a sales manager at Advent Software.
• Andy Nybo has joined the Towergroup as a senior analyst in the securities and capital markets practice. Reporting to securities and investments practice group director Larry Tabb, Nybo is expected to provide insight and analysis on the institutional brokerage industry, covering issues including e-commerce, order management, risk management and the impact of new technology on the credit markets.
• Pan-European bond trading platform Bondclick has appointed Andrew Rowland as chief technology officer. Rowland has 11 years experience in IT systems development, having worked at Barclays Capital, Natwest Markets and UBS. At Barclays he was responsible for foreign exchange e-commerce development, supervising the development of a web-based FX pricing, execution and management system.
