SwiftRef Offers API Access

New capability automates single, one-time data validations

Industry co-operative Swift has launched an application programming interface (API) for access to its SwiftRef service, which collects, maintains and enables access to payments reference data, according to Joanna Beer, business manager for reference data initiatives at Swift Americas.

"The API allows for one-off validations, but they're automated, so no storage is needed on the client end," she says. "It's not just for accuracy and quality, but accessibility to the data."
