Morgan Stanley Exec: “LEI Can Make Onboarding More Efficient”

The legal entity identifier (LEI) will enable firms to make their client onboarding processes more efficient and provides an opportunity for vendors to create new platforms, an executive from Morgan Stanley told delegates at the Tokyo Financial Information Summit this week.

John Sproat, Morgan Stanley's Tokyo-based Asia head of enterprise data, said the LEI will help firms to establish a clear view of their existing client data and prevent them from unnecessarily onboarding the same client
