Swift Hopes For LEI Role Despite ISO Decision

Following the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) agreement with the Financial Stability Board (FSB) to remove the role of registration authority from its legal entity identifier (LEI) standard, industry cooperative Swift, which had been assigned the role, plans to continue work on its proposed LEI registration solution independently of the standards organization.

In a statement, ISO says that the FSB asked it to remove the role of registration authority to avoid conflict
