Securing LEI Success
In April, the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (Sifma) took the unusual step of calling for more regulations that require the use of the legal entity identifier (LEI). In an open letter, the industry body pointed out that only one US regulation currently requires the LEI, and said regulators in the US should help to increase adoption of the identifier by making its use mandatory.
