Startup Quandl Launches Web Data Search Engine

Toronto, Canada-based startup web portal Quandl last week launched a beta version of its search engine for financial, economic and sociological datasets, which aims to make it easier for analysts, traders and economists to find numerical data online.

Quandl has indexed 2 million financial and economic time-series datasets, including 85 global stock market indexes; spot and futures prices for 70 commodities and 10 commodities indexes; 60 futures contracts with prices, commitments, and historical
