Network and co-location provider Wall Street Network Solutions has hired telecom industry veteran Bill Walsh as chief strategy officer and head of corporate operations, reuniting him with former colleagues from IXnet and Global Crossing -- including WSNS chief executive Michael Fritzlo and head of sales Christopher Marino -- where he held senior marketing roles before joining now-defunct data vendor Moneyline Telerate in 2002 as executive vice president of global markets.

More recently, Walsh served as president and chief operating officer of telecom software consultancy Telwares, ran corporate operations at Open Range Communications -- both of which are portfolio companies of One Equity Partners, the private equity group of Bank One (now JP Morgan), which also backed Telerate -- and as an advisor at Auster Capital Partners, a private equity firm set up by Charles Auster, a former managing director at One Equity Partners and co-founder of IXnet.
