Equinix Completes $3.8Bn Telecity Acquisition
The deal adds 40 Telecity datacenters and 1,000 new clients to Equinix's datacenter business.
The deal adds 40 Telecity datacenters across seven new markets in Europe─Bulgaria, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Sweden and Turkey─to Equinix's existing datacenter portfolio, bringing its total number of datacenters to 145.
Through the acquisition, Telecity will bring more than 1,000 net new customers to Equinix, including more than 200 network and mobility companies, and more than 300 cloud and IT services companies, further strengthening the business ecosystems inside Equinix's IBX
