Wood was most recently chief information security officer at investment manager Bridgewater Associates, prior to which he was group IT services director and chief security officer at insurance company Aviva, and also served as chief security officer at Swiss bank UBS.
At Bloomberg, Wood reports to chief executive Daniel Doctoroff.
