Markit is expanding its fixed income pricing service—which currently covers 2.5 million securities including municipals, securitized products, collateralized debt obligations (CDOs), collateralized mortgage obligations and asset-back securities—to include money markets evaluated prices, ahead of an implementation deadline of April 14, 2016 for meeting amendments imposed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. In 2014, the SEC made changes to the rules that govern money market mutual funds
