Datacenters Keep Running as US Exchanges Ready Wednesday Reopenings

US equities and options markets plan to open for business as normal on Wednesday, Oct. 31, after two days of exchange closures forced by the impact of Hurricane Sandy, which caused power outages, flooding and widespread destruction along the US Eastern seaboard, where the bulk of exchanges and their technology and data operations are based.

NYSE Euronext, Nasdaq OMX, the BATS Exchange and Direct Edge confirmed on Tuesday that their equity and options markets would open for trading on Wednesday
