Nasdaq Revamps UQDF, UTDF Feeds to Avoid Rollover Repeat

Nasdaq is to change the way it divides data alphabetically for distribution over the six channels that serve its UTP quote and trade data feeds, to better manage outbound message traffic across the channels and minimize the risk of sequence number rollovers—which occurred amid high data volumes on Aug. 10.

Nasdaq will change over to the new alphabetical sequence on Nov. 7, after subscribers have been able to process test files from the end of September and participate in user acceptance tests on
