Hong Kong: "Greater Attention" Paid to Back-Office Outsourcing

Brokerage firms in Hong Kong are becoming more open to back-office
outsourcing strategies as a way of returning focus to core competencies,
according to a survey of more than 100 firms in Hong Kong by BNP Paribas and
Swift. The survey focused on back-office outsourcing and where to draw the
line.

Barnaby Nelson, Hong Kong-based head of business development (Asia) at BNP
Paribas Securities Services, says there is more talk about all types of
outsourcing today than ever before.
