Weaving a Market Fabric

It's a nice concept and an environment that I'm sure the European markets will attain eventually. Unfortunately, the trading outage at the London Stock Exchange (LSE) on Sept. 8 (see story, this issue) shows that the European market hasn't reached the fabric stage quite yet. As long as the MTFs and crossing networks actively rely on referencing an issue's price on its home market, these home markets will continue to play a critical role.
