CCBN.com Files Suit Against Thomson

CCBN.com, a Boston-headquartered provider of Internet-based investor relations (IR) data and Web hosting services, is suing Thomson Corp. and Thomson Financial for breach of fiduciary duty, arguing that the data and software vendor used knowledge gained through board meetings to stifle CCBN’s business and build a competing one.

In the suit, filed last week in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts, CCBN claims that Thomson should not be allowed to compete with CCBN because it
