London Stock Exchange Preps FAST Pilot
The London Stock Exchange plans to pilot a new version of its Infolect datafeed platform in the second quarter of this year that will have the capability to utilize the FAST (FIX Adapted for Streaming data) protocol to reduce bandwidth requirements.
Although the exchange has not committed to using FAST, it is working on integrating the compression algorithm into its Infolect market data infrastructure, and was one of the first exchanges to test the effects of FAST on its datafeeds.
Early test
