MX, Nymex Eye New Energy Exchange

MONTRÈAL—The energy exchange to be created by the Montréal Exchange (MX) and the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) will feature a mix of the two exchanges' trading technology, and will likely use the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's (CME's) Globex trading platform, officials tell DWT, after announcing last week their intent to form the new exchange.

The new exchange will trade and clear exchange-listed and over-the-counter (OTC) crude oil, natural gas and electricity products, MX and Nymex
