Lux FTS to Expand into Alternative Data Space
After investment, the vendor is looking to partner with Quandl to deliver alternative datasets to hedge funds.
Lux’s cloud-based platform helps hedge funds with data warehousing, reporting, reconciliations and business intelligence. The company’s chief technology officer, Mark Christine, says that clients are increasingly looking to incorporate alternative datasets—such as information pertaining to credit card or cellphone usage, satellite imagery, and environment, social and governance (ESG) data—to drive investment insights. As a result, Lux Fund is looking to partner with alternative data provider
