Iain Plunkett will join TP ICAP later this year.

Plunkett, who is currently chief technology officer at London-based investment management firm Aberdeen Asset Management, will join the broker in the second quarter of this year having taken on the role of Aberdeen Asset Management's group CTO/COO in September 2015.

Prior to Aberdeen, Plunkett spent fifteen years with investment giant UBS across a number of roles including chief information officer, as well as a stint with Barclays as the bank's head of operations and technology transformation, and head of global enterprise architecture.

"Iain's experience in capital markets, and particularly in change and transformation projects, make him ideally suited to join our team," said John Phizackerley, chief executive of TP ICAP, in a statement. "He will be integral to executing our integration programme over the next three years, and we are looking forward to working with him."

Iain Plunkett was interviewed by Waters in April last year.
