Industry Hedges Opinion on Mifid II Agreement
Mifid II's agreement introduces sweeping changes that affect a wide variety of market practices, ranging from algorithmic trading through to derivatives reform. However, some urged caution in taking too much from the European authorities' brief missives on the subject, saying that technical work due to be completed by the European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma) in the coming months would yield a far stronger impression than the political process.
